Where: Queens Comfort -4009 30th Ave, Astoria, NY 11103
The Chef: Chef Casey Sullivan
Why: Queens Comfort is one of the best, if not the best, southern comfort food restaurants in Astoria. Established in 2011, Queen’s comfort is not a pretentious brunch spot; it’s more of a fun, trendy diner that serves mouth-watering food. While brunch is very popular at Queens Comfort, the restaurant also offers a creative dinner menu and it’s BYOB! The menu offers American comfort food with a creative twist; such as, the Disco Tots (Tater tots, Sawmill Gravy, Cheddar), the Cornflakes Crusted Chicken Sandwich (Offered with Tofu as well) or the “Lil Dizzy”, which is Captain Crunch Fried Chicken. Oh and don’t forget to try the Truffle Mushroom Mac & Cheese, which is delicious.
I recently visited Queens Comfort during Brunch. For starters, the vibes were awesome. I also received friendly service and the food was delivered fast and hot, just like I like it! Beside the food, the best part was the awesome DJ, who was spinning everything from 90’s music to 2015 Pop! Seriously, who doesn’t enjoy eating brunch to Janet’s Rhythm Nation?
My only word of advice is to get there early on the weekends of you will be waiting forever! Also, do not forget it’s Cash Only!
The Food:

The Atomic Balls: Deep Fried Mac & Cheese and Sriracha

Chicken and Waffles: Tabasco Glaze, Maple Syrup, Powered Sugar
