Where: El Almacen 557 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211
Why: El Almacen has definitely been one of my favorite finds in Williamsburg. Tucked away on Driggs Ave, you just might miss this delicious Argentine restaurant if you walk too fast. However, neighborhood people probably know what you and I did not know; the food at El Almacen is simply delicious. The interior is cozy, with a romantic ambiance. The service and the wine list are both pretty good. They also have a beautiful patio area towards the back of the restaurant, which is perfect for a cozy date night in Williamsburg. Word to the wise, if you don’t get there early and you don’t make a reservation, you will be waiting for a table, especially on the weekend.
The Food: The menu is filled with Spanish inspired dishes and delicious meat options, such as cuts of steak and tasty beef options. All of the meat entrees are delicious, well-seasoned and tender. The Costilla De Res, is braised for 9 hours and is simply my favorite item on the menu. (Pictured below). The Churros are also a hit, and comes with delicious warm and sweet chocolate and caramel dipping sauces. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of food offered. I highly recommend giving El Almacen a try!
