Popping Bottles: Gato Negro Cabernet & Merlot Blend

348603

Overview: Gato Negro is a Chilean wine,. I specifically enjoy the Cabernet and Merlot blend, which typically retails under $5 in my area.

From the Winemaker: The Website suggest pairing this wine with pasta, spicy dishes, or cheese. I’ve definitely tried it with cheese (e.g. sharp cheddar and goat cheese) and I enjoy the combination.

Tasting Notes: Overall the wine is smooth, warm and fruity. This is a very easy dry wine to drink and has the aroma of delicious blueberries. This is a medium bodied blend and packed with fruit flavors and a hint of spice. I think it’s a perfect, cheap yet delicious wine for every occasion.
