Overview: I had the opportunity to taste two glasses of this lovely wine while visiting the K2 Lounge at the Rubin Museum a couple of weeks ago. The Amalaya Mablec is a red blend, comprised mostly of Malbec, with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Tannat. The cost is typically $15 a bottle and under.
Tasting Notes: The Amalaya Malbec is deep red, very fruity and full-bodied wine. I absolutely loved everything about this wine and I can’t wait to buy a bottle for a full review. Nevertheless, on my first sip, I was impressed.
Recommended Pairing Options: I paired my Malbec with Duck Momos, which was complimentary. This wine would probably also be delicious with lamb (and other wild game meats).
