Table Hopping: Shelter Pizza (Williamsburg)

Shelter pizza (Williamsburg)

Shelter pizza is a fun, trendy pizza and empanadas restaurant & lounge in Williamsburg that I discovered at the beginning of 2015. The atmosphere is fun and rustic. Dinner at Shelter is the perfect cozy and casual date  spot in Williamsburg. Besides, who doesn’t enjoy pizza and empanadas?

The service is always  welcoming and accommodating. The food is always fresh and delicious and the cocktail menu is absolutely the best and probably my favorite part of visiting Shelter Pizza!

If you’re eating here I recommend the following:

Drinks: If you’re brave, try the Doctor Funke, which allegedly has a two drink limit according to the menu

Starters: The Truffle Mac and Cheese with Bacon is to die for!!!

Pizza: I’ve tried a few of their pizzas. My two favorites are the Ham & Peppers (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Prosciutto Cotto, Roasted Red Peppers) and the Sopressata Picante (Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce, Spicy Salami, Fresh Basil)

Entrees: The Baby Back Ribs are tender, meaty and well-seasoned
Empanadas: Try the Humita (Sweet Corn, Scallions, Basil, Nutmeg, Béchamel Sauce)
For dessert: try the Chocolate Empanada (Dulce De Leche, Hazelnuts, Banana Ice Cream)
