Sagaponack (Flatiron)

I stumbled upon Sagaponack last week while hanging out in the Flatiron neighborhood. Since I absolutely love seafood, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise.

Sagaponack, named after a town in eastern Long Island, is a Seafood restaurant that serves everything to lobster, fish tacos and oysters. The happy hour is fantastic; $4 Beers, $5 wine and $9 cocktails and $1 oysters!

Besides the food being delicious, the atmosphere was pretty cool as well (airy, relaxed and laid back). I felt like I made a brief escape from the hustle snd bustle of Manhattan.

Here’s what I tried:

Spicy Seafood Flatbread

Fish Taco Meal

Overall, Sagaponack was a great find in the Flatiron neighborhood , especially if you’re a seafood lover and/or if you’re looking for a good happy hour. The Spicy Seafood Flatbread is definitely a must try! The portion is ample for sharing and the flavors were amazing. While the fish tacos were not the best I’ve had in NYC, they were still pretty tasty. The value was also good, considering that the tacos were served with fries and a side salad.

Even though I didn’t try it, the surf and turf burger (a burger topped with lobster) looked absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back to try!
