Where: 6 W 25th Street, New York, NY
Overview: The 40/40 Club is an upscale lounge and sports bar owned by Hip-Hop Mogul, Jay-Z. The lounge is conveniently located in the Flatiron District. The multi-level space includes a custom 20’ x 20’ illuminated resin top bar encircling an 18-foot tall illuminated champagne tower. Supple leather upholstered wall paneling, custom walnut millwork with smoked bronze mirrors, and plush lounge banquets make the space feel luxurious. Read more about the 40/40 here.
The Deals: During Football season, on game day, the 40/40 Club offers; $5 beers, $5 chips and guacamole, $8 mozzarella sticks, $8 wings, $10 sliders (for three).
The Food: I find the food at the 40/40 Club to be a step up from regular bar food; however, even their traditional buffalo wings are delicious. I also happen to enjoy the Southern Fried Catfish. In fact, it is probably some of the best catfish I’ve had in NYC to date. The Sliders are also delicious and so eloquently served with a friend pickle on top. The 40/40 Quesadilla 3 Mini Grill Chicken quesadillas with Pico De Gallo, Sour Cream and Fresh Guacamole is also worth a try if that’s your thing.
