I was on the “Ave” this weekend AKA Jamaica and my friend and I made a quick pit stop for some beef patties from Jamaican Flavors.
If you’re carb loading or just having a plan old cheat day, getting a patty with Coco Bread is the way to go! Jamaican Flavors is literally just a takeout window that offers patties and other Caribbean favorites. The patties are reasonably priced at $2.50 and you can get your patty with Coco bread, for only an extra $1. (I highly recommend this option.)
Jamaican Flavors has a variety of patty flavors (Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken, Spicy Beef). The spicy beef patty I got this weekend was stuffed with a large amount of chunky, spicy and delicious beef filling. The crust was a nice golden flaky crust and the coco bread was soft with a nice subtle sweet flavor. If you’re in the neighborhood, you should definitely try out a beef patty from Jamaican Flavors.
