Where: Pio Pio (Multiple Locations)
Why: Pio Pio has been good to me! The menu is simple yet very delicious. The prices are very affordable, making it my “go-to” restaurant when I was in law school. Pio Pio is also my “go-to” place when I have out of town guests, because really who doesn’t like Peruvian chicken? The Sangria (Red) is also very delicious and will leave you with a buzz (and a higher than expected bill). While I’ve visited Pio Pio’s Queens locations several times, when I’m in the city I definitely try to go to their newer Hell’s Kitchen Location, which has a very chic atmosphere yet the same simple affordable menu (win-win). I even met one of my favorite basketball players , Joakim Noah at Pio Pio a couple of years ago.
