Cabana (Forrest Hills)

Where: 10710 70th Road, Forest Hills, NY 11375

Why: Authentic Latin American Food in the Forest Hill area. The crowd is always fun and in my experience, the service has always been prompt, friendly and accommodating. The food is simply delicious and authentic Latin American flavors. I always get the Churrasco; Latin American style skirt steak marinated in garlic and fresh herbs accompanied by chimichurri and cebollitas. I also happen to be a fan of their Paella Marinera, which is a mixture of Shrimp, octopus, calamares, scallops, clams and mussels simmered with saffron and garlic in a caldera of Valencia rice, which can be ordered with a lobster tail.
