Via Trenta

Via Trenta is an Osteria & Wine Bar that opened in Astoria in 2011. With so many options in Astoria, you can definitely miss this lovely Italian Gem on 30th Avenue, which offers gourmet pizza & artisanal pasta paired with wine, beer & cocktails in a rustic setting. The atmosphere is laid back and cozy; a perfect low-key date meal. On my first visit, I ordered the “Diavola” pizza, (Tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, garlic, $15). The crust of the pizza was definitely a stand out, which was light, crispy, fresh and delicious. The ample amount of cheese was evenly melted and soppressata was spicy but did not overpower the pizza. Instead of ordering wine from Via Trenta’s extensive wine menu, I actually ordered a Spicy Margarita to go with my pizza. This drink was so tasty and had the perfect balance of spicy and sweetness. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch at Via Trenta’s bar and can’t wait to go back and try some delicious pasta entrees.
