It only took me six years to review Sea in Williamsburg.

Sea g is another one of those places that I visited during my first year in NYC, and 6 years later, I decided to have my birthday celebration there.

The Crowd: Young Professionals, Families, Couples

The Food: I’m always very satisfied with the Thai food at Sea. The best part you ask? Cheap!! Appetizers average around $5 and entrees around $12. Oh and did I mention that the food comes out really fast, hot, ad tasty? Honestly, this is a very economical choice for a large group, especially for a birthday dinner. Sea also offers a Prix fix menu for $35 or $40 depending on the type of drink you want with you meal, which is also a good option for larger groups. My “go to” meal is the eggplant basil ordered with a combination of shrimp and beef and the Pad Thai spring rolls for an appetizer- both delicious.

Drinks: Well the drinks are simply fantastic; however, they are pricey but delicious. I’m warning you……. you will blow your economical meal by ordering rounds of their delicious drinks and wonder why the bill is so high when your food was only $15.

The Ambiance: sexy, modern, fun, hip. Perfect for larger crowds and birthday dinners

The Service: The service is a bit “hit or miss” depending on the crowd. During my last visit, the food came out very fast but our drinks took forever, which was very frustrating when you are trying to get “turned up” for your bday. Also, there was a “world star” type argument occurring in the restaurant during my visit and in my opinion the restaurant could have calmed this situation down a lot faster than they did.

Birthday Cake: if you are considering bringing a birthday cake, Sea will allow you to bring it but will charge $2 per person fee.
