Happy Hour at Pranna was wonderful.

Pranna is an Asian restaurant/lounge in the Flatiron area of Manhattan. Pranna is a popular happy hour destination for young professionals looking to relax after work. I highly recommend stopping by for happy hour to mingle with other young professionals that work in the area. This is also a great restaurant to invite someone to an informal networking dinner and/or drinks.

Happy Hour: I actually used to work across the street from Pranna and would often stop in for happy hour or dinner. Their happy hour deals are fantastic, $4 draft beer, $6 wine, and $7 mixed drinks. They also offer $5 appetizers in the lounge, which includes a variety of options such as, Vegetable or Shrimp Dumplings, Grilled Chicken Satay and my personal favorite, Lamb sliders. Happy hour runs until 8 pm, so you definitely have time to head over to Pranna after a long day at work!

Food: I love the food at Pranna. Although, I’m warning you, the food is on the spicier side. During my last visit to Pranna, my dining partner and I ordered some Shrimp Dumplings, the Lamb Curry and the Chili Glazed Prawns. The Chili Glazed Prawns were delicious, cooked with a delicious spicy and sweet chili sauce, scallions, and mushrooms. The Lamb Tenderloin Penang Curry was spicy but very well seasoned. The lamb was tender, juicy and cooked in a Lychee, Coconut, and Toasted Peanut Curry sauce.

Brunch Parties: Pranna also offers a brunch party on the weekends. For $45, brunch includes One entrée, Five Brunch Drinks Per Person, & Champagne for the Table! The Brunch used to be bottomless but it seems that the restaurant had to make some changes due to the unruly crowd.

Night Life: On Fridays, Pranna turns into a hip-hop/Caribbean Lounge & Club. I’ve been on a Friday and I honestly didn’t enjoy it. I thought the crowd was very young. Nevertheless, I prefer the happy hour crowd.
