Upland
Where: 345 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10010 (Flatiron)
Why: This California inspired restaurant by the chef, Justin Smillie, goes back to the roots of California cuisine, blending Italian fares with creative American bites, along with an extensive, worldly wine list (500+), upland is surely worth a visit.
Named one of Jetsetter’s Hottest Tables in NYC and one of the New York Times’ top restaurants of 2015, Upland happens to be one of my favorite NYC restaurants and is still one of the hardest reservations to snag in NYC. (During my last visit it took me three weeks). Everything on the menu is simply delicious and in my opinion worth a try. Even ordering what may seem like “ordinary” chicken transforms into something succulent at Upland. Seriously, I’m not playing, even the complimentary Bread is delicious.
