Sanford’s is part of the Buppie Foodie’s list of the Best Brunch restaurants in Astoria. Sanford’s is a well-known diner/café, centrally located in Astoria. The menu has something for everyone, (Sandwiches, burgers, salads, and classic brunch options) and even though it’s technically a diner, the ambiance is modern, and chic.
Overall, the food is fresh, the portions are ample and the flavors are delicious. The salads are delicious and the small plates are tasty (e.g. Tuna Tartare, Truffle Mac & Cheese). The service is accommodating and welcoming. While Sanford’s doesn’t technically offer a boozy brunch option, for an extra $10 on your entrée, you can get two brunch cocktails, which is not a bad deal. The best part about Sanford’s is that the restaurant is 24 hours, which makes it the perfect late night/early brunch spot in Astoria.
