Table Hopping: Texas De Brazil (UES)

Texas De Brazil (Upper East Side)

To wrap up my Summer 2015 restaurant week adventures, my dining partner and I had the opportunity to visit a Brazilian Steakhouse, specifically Texas de Brazil. We started our night with happy hour at the bar, which until 7 pm on weekdays, serves ½ priced drinks. For dinner, for only $38 during restaurant week, you get the delicious salad bar, which is filled with up to 60 items  that includes appetizers, gourmet vegetables, salmon, sushi, soups, and salads.

Next, once you have your salad out the way, turn your place card over to the “green side” for the carvers to stop by your table to offer you some delicious cuts of meat, which are accompanied by traditional side items and house-baked Brazilian cheese bread. Lastly you have a choice of a dessert.

The meat options included the following:  Filet Mignon, Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon, Braised Beef Ribs, Lamb Chops, Pork Ribs, Brazilian Picanha, Garlic Picanha, Brazilian Sausage, Leg of Lamb, Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, Parmesan Drumettes, Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin, Flank Steak, Herb-Marinated Pork Loin, Brazilian Alcatra, and Chicken Sausage.

The lamb chops were hands down my favorite meat I tasted during our dinner; it was grilled and seasoned to perfection!

For dessert, the banana foster was delicious and was in fact overkill after a long, hearty meal! However, I still made room for it!
