Snapshot: Fig & Olive (Midtown East)

I’m a huge fan of Fig & Olive.  It is absolutely on my short list of restaurants in Midtown East to have dinner with the girls. The location in the Meatpacking District is also a good option for a trendier night out on the town.

The drinks at Fig & Olive never disappoint me. Specifically, Fig & Olive’s Dirty Martini, made with Belvedere Vodka, Mediterranean olives & brines,  happens to be one of my favorite Dirty Martinis in the city. Additionally, Fig & Olive has an exceptional wine list, which includes over 30 varietals from the South of France, Italy, and Spain that are offered by the glass or bottle.

The food at Fig & Olive is always fresh and tasty. As the name implies, Fig & Olive’s philosophy is about passion for the best olive oils, flavors and cuisine from the Riviera & Coastal regions of the South of France, Italy and Spain. As such, olive oil is used in place of butter in all of their dishes. While all the food is fantastic, I’m a big fan of their Crostinis and the Provence Roasted Chicken.
