Quick Bites: Qi Bangkok Eatery (Times Square/Hell’s Kitchen)

Where: Qi Bangkok Eatery is a cute little Thai Restaurant with locations in Times Square, Union Square and Williamsburg.

I  had the opportunity to visit the Hell’s Kitchen/Times Square location a few months ago and was very satisfied. Wait, I already know what you are thinking; all the restaurants in Times Square are touristy and bad. Well I will vouch that Qi (this location at least) is not half bad. While I do think that Sea in Brooklyn has some of the best Thai food in NYC, if you cannot make the trip to Williamsburg then Qi is definitely a good replacement.

I actually visited Qi for a large birthday dinner and the beautiful restaurant was easily able to accommodate our crowd of 13+. The atmosphere is trendy and cute. The Service was friendly and fast. The food was fresh, tasty and cheap (perfect for large birthday crowds on a modest budget).

The Food: For appetizers, me and the only other person I knew at the Birthday dinner, ordered the Chicken Dumplings and the Blackened Shrimp. For our main dish, we ordered the Chicken Curry and Pad Thai (please note my friend orders Pad Thai without any of the essentials, in case you were wondering why it looks a little bare). Although I couldn’t get pictures of everyone else’s food, everything looked delicious. The cocktails were also an A+.

Overall, this is a tasty, delicious and fun quick bite in the Times Square area!
