Hotel Review: Conrad Hotel (Chicago, IL)

Located right off the Magnificent Mile (I.e., the 5th Ave of Chicago), the Conrad Chicago Hotel is a 5-star, modern hotel centrally located to explore downtown Chicago.

Upon entering the Conrad Chicago, you take the elevator up to the 20th floor to the lobby to check into the hotel. (it’s a little backward, but totally cool once you get a glimpse of the beautiful Chicago view on the 20th floor).

The Rooms were 5-Star indeed. Very clean and luxurious. Cushy white bedding, abstract art, and comfy red couches. Even though it took me a while to get used to it, the room is tech-heavy! Equipped with touch panel controls, massive 65-inch smart televisions. Unfortunately, the room does not have a minibar, but the refrigerator stocked with complimentary water and there was a Nespresso maker.

Bathroom: The, his and her sinks are ideal for couples!! The bathroom was decorated with modern brass and marble Deco. Speaking of the bathroom, I Admittedly, fell in love with the complimentary body wash. Typically, after I arrive at a hotel, I go and buy body wash etc., from Walgreens or a CVS nearby. However, one smell of the Shanghai Tang Mandarin Tea body wash, and I was sold. (since I’m heavy-handed when it comes to body wash, I had to call for a new bottle every night during my visit).

Dining: Bourbon-centric New American restaurant Baptiste & Bottle offers stunning city views and an exceptional whiskey selection.

Go to Nayone. Sip on sake and relax at the seasonal Japanese rooftop, which also offers spectacular views of Michigan Avenue.

Overall Hotel Grade: A+, I truly enjoyed my stay at the Conrad and I will be back!
