An Exclusive Look Inside Curry & Co., Indian Grill (New Hyde Park)

Curry & Co., “The Indian Chipotle”

A few weeks ago, I attended a private chef’s tasting at a new “fast casual” restaurant in Floral Park/New Hype Park. Owned by two brothers, with a dream of serving fast casual Indian food, Curry & Co. serves only high quality Indian food, including hormone and antibiotic free chicken and farm raised, grass-fed lamb.

To be honest, I’m not an “Indian Food” type of girl and in fact, I was nervous that I was going to hate the food. Thankfully, the culinary mastermind at Curry & Co., Peter Beck – acclaimed as one of NYC’s most innovative chefs, creates delicious combinations that even me, the Indian food skeptic enjoyed. Beck creates delicious dishes at Curry & Co., by blending spices that consists of onion, ginger, tomatoes, cumin and other spices, which are then blended and used for Curry & Co.’s delectable sauces; creating remarkably healthy dishes that are practically oil-free.

I was truly surprised to discover just how much I enjoyed all the food at Curry & Co. I thought the flavors were authentic yet at the same time, Chef Beck has created wonderful combinations that have universal appeal. You can check out my recommendations from Curry & Co, below.

Overall, I love the concept at Curry & Co., there’s simply no Indian restaurant I’ve heard of, serving up delicious Indian food, the Chipotle way. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Curry & Co!

Check out some exclusive photos from my visit to Curry & Co below:

Where:  271-19 Union Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY 11040

Hours: Daily, 11am – 10pm

Cuisine: Indian

The Cost: Average cost is less than $15 per person

Recommendations: I recommend that you get an order of Garlic Naan Bread, which is made fresh to Order. The Salmon Tikki Masala is also a slam dunk! This Salmon is marinated overnight, giving the Salmon a delectable flavor. Next the Saag (spinach), was healthy and flavorful. Finally, for something on the spicy side, I recommend the Lamb Handi Curry.
