Last night, I was invited to attend the premiere party for WE TV’s new reality show, “Hustle & Soul“. The show follows owner Chef Lawrence Page of the Pink Tea Cup (Brooklyn, NY) on his journey to bring his staff together and achieve a Michelin star. Guests at the invite-only event were able to view a never before seen episode of the show, which was followed with a Q&A with AJ Calloway and a DJ set from Questlove. During the Q&A, an emotional Page revealed that he was actually homeless for almost three years while he was trying to revive the Pink Tea Cup brand, whose original location was in Manhattan in the West Village.
Chef Lawrence Page prepared his signature Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken, Catfish and Waffles for everyone to enjoy.
