Do you have a taste for some Spiced Pumpkin Pie ice cream? Or better yet, some Tequila Pineapple ice cream? Fear not, Oddfellows is to the rescue!
Arguably the best ice cream shop in NYC, Oddfellows has two locations; its flagship in Williamsburg and an outpost in East Village. The Williamsburg location offers 12 unique rotating flavors of ice cream and sorbet, classically composed banana splits, sundaes and floats. The East Village location offers 8 rotating favors, homemade at the Williamsburg location. The ice cream is made from scratch using only the finest ingredients, including hormone-free and additive-free dairy.
I had the opportunity to visit Oddfellows over the weekend for the first time and trust me, I will be back. This was truly a “fun” experience. It was refreshing to try so many unique and interesting flavors of ice cream. Oddfellows has truly put a modern and unique touch to the ice cream experience in NYC.
The service was extremely friendly at Oddfellows. I’m guessing the servers could sense that I was overwhelmed (as I’m sure so many people are when they visit) so they encouraged my party and I to try multiple favors, suggesting the ones that they personally enjoyed. After an intensive five minutes of tasting, my favorites on my first visit to Oddfellosws included the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Black Pepper Strawberry and the Miso Cherry. My friend ordered her ice cream with their homemade waffle cone (made fresh daily), which was delicious and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I highly recommend giving this a try on your first/next visit to Oddfellows.
I’ll keep you posted when I make my second visit to Oddfellows!
