Chez Lucienne – Harlem

IMG_5173Here is another Throwback Thursday Review. Chez Lucienne is a beautiful French Bistro located in the lively 125th street area. This was actually a “second choice” find when my friend and I refused to wait over an hour to be seated at Red Rooster next door. The alternative was to walk next door to this cute bistro and be seated immediately.

For brunch, I had the Seafood pasta, which was of a large portion, tastefully seasoned. I’m not even sure if this is still on the menu but the food was good.

They used to have 50% off food on Fridays and Saturdays from 12am to 2am. I’ve heard that they no longer offer this. Instead, they have a “late night” menu, which is a $16 prix fixe menu, which includes French onion soup or salad and a choice of one of their burgers with fries or mussels with fries. The French Onion Soup can be a hit or miss, someday its better than other. However, I give them a solid recommendation for their Burgers; always cooked to perfection, tastefully seasoned, juicy and delicious.

Chez Lucienne is a great option if you are in the area and you definitely don’t want to wait at

Perfect for: late night, brunch
