Barawine in Harlem is a chic and trendy wine bar and restaurant, which offers an extensive selection of wine and beer choices from Europe, South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Specifically, Barawine offers 25 wines by the glass and 200 wines by the bottle. During happy hour,  Monday through Friday (4 -8 pm), well drinks are $5, select wine and beers are $6 and Sangria and select sparkling wines are $7. On the weekends, specifically during Brunch hours and on most Friday nights, there’s usually a DJ in the bar area spinning the hottest R&B, old school and hip-hop mixes.

Spearheaded by executive chef Gabriel Perez, the food at Barawine is rather tasty, so I recommend that after enjoying happy hour, you stay for dinner. The simple fares such as the Barawine Burger (Grass Fed Colorado Beef & Lamb Burger topped with Bordelaise Mushroom Sauce, Served on Toasted Ciabatta), the tomato Bruschetta, or the Mussels and Frites are probably the best options.

Overall, Barawine should be one of your top Harlem destination for a trendy and chic after work happy hour. Check out some pictures of Barawine below.
